Best Buy Coupons 2012

2012 looks to be a banner year for discounts at Best Buy.  The retailer is facing pressure from the online and catalog giants and it is clear that the public is moving away from the big box retailers in favor of smaller stores.  Many Best Buy locations are even beginning the process of shrinking their stores and leasing out a portion of their sales floor.  This makes sense for many reasons.  First, there is no longer a need to have a large stock of physical media like CDs, DVDs, and video games.  For a long time now, the sales of physical products have been eroded by direct to consumer digital sales.  Itunes, Amazon, and even Netflix are driving this change.  What is a big retailer to do with all of the excess sales space?  It looks like the answer is nothing.  They are going to lease the space to other retailers, and we imagine that they will be looking for complimentary co-tenants to share the space.  With shrinking sales floors and sluggish sales, expect more Best Buy coupons 2012!

Best Buy the Iphone Giant

Apple released some interesting news the other day regarding iphone sales.  From their data, the number of iphones sold at Best Buy is within one percent of the sales from Apple.  This certainly shows that Apples strategy of partnering with over 600 Best Buy retail locations was a smart one.  We wonder how long it will be before they decide to roll their Apple authorized stores into the remaining 400 or so locations.
